Edvin, Pete and Victoria - Tuesday Nighters on a Wednesday
Edvin reached out for a mid week trip. We hadn’t been out in a while and it was a good shout to dust off some caving cobwebs. Edvin had something to prove to his hand so proposed a trip into Giants.
The plan was to drop down Garlands and climb up to the roof. Round trip in reverse. Another group had rigged Garlands so Edvin rigged underneath. Once down we had a nice climb up over Garlands. We heard some cavers below making their way through crab walk. I took the liberty of tapping on each of their helmets as they slithered through the passage. Edvin realized he knew them from a fairly recent rescue as well….they grunted past and we carried on.
We reached a small chamber on the traverse. A short climb up to poke around and look at some nice fossils. I took some time to take a few photos while Edvin and Pete climbed along the traverse. Once they returned, we headed out. Back along the passage until we jumped down at the bottom of Garlands.
It was a very pleasant trip out and always nice to be caving.
