Gateham Swallet
Gateham Swallet is a large sink hole located high on a limestone plateau.
The Eldon installed a lid and have been digging down in the boulder choke below. In the summer 2012 a small rift was found leading away from the main choke with a strong draught. Work continues...

Numerous trips were undertaken during the Peak Expedition 2012, attacking the boulder choke at the bottom. A number of breakthroughs occured, finding some short rift passages that skirt around the main choke. Unfortunately at the end it connects back into large boulders, making the dig now quite a challenging place...
