Albania 2025

The 8 strong team are now back from the week-long expedition, and whilst the report is being prepared here's a short summary.

The main cave still going from last year, Mountain GOAT, unfortunately did a "Ghar Parau" and ended down the next pitch, only adding 25m depth to the now +200m deep cave. Thankfully the derig then provided us with plenty of rope and gear up the hill ready to be reused.

Over the week multiple teams systematically worked a small section of the upper reaches of the mountain to record approximately 30 new caves. Half of these were descended, the deepest Ken's Hole reaching 110m ending in one of the largest chambers yet discovered on this mountain.

So overall it was a great trip, very logistically smooth and efficient, and good fun for all. The only downer was the powerful Staffordshire Flu Varient which swept through the whole team.
