Dead ahead dig - 19.4.2016
Dave Cowley - Carl Bergmann
For some time now I have been conscious of making the most of our time at the dig . As the kids grow up time is at a premium. So after seeing a badgers dig and how organised it was it seemed like time to make a syphon for the sump (without any faff).I brought some pipe and fittings along, but at the last minute questioned if we had the right size, so we sacked the idea of carrying it in .Instead we took enough scaffolding in for the dig which consisted of two toothpicks and an onion ring .On arrival at the dig we found out that the pipe was the correct size , so I volunteered to pump as my forfeit. It feels like we made more progress last night than in the last two years put together and have a clear route ahead devoid of large tabs with sandy fill . The only disappointment was the lack of horses skulls and hats , but you can't have everything . The new kibbles worked great and we can't wait to get in next week and crack on. Dave's turn to post next week , so we should have comma's and full stops in the correct place .(no pressure)
